Installing Leaps Analytics is simple! Go to Dashboard → Heatmaps → Setup, copy the tracking script, and paste it in your website's <head> tag. For Next.js, use the Script component. For React, add it to your index.html. The script will automatically start tracking clicks, page views, and scroll depth.
After installing the tracking script, go to Dashboard → Heatmaps → Visualize. Select your project from the dropdown, then choose a page to view its click heatmap. Red areas show high activity, yellow shows medium, and blue shows low activity. You can also switch between desktop, tablet, and mobile views.
Clicks (position and the element clicked), page views, scroll depth, JavaScript errors, device and browser type, an approximate location from the IP address, and redacted copies of the page for heatmaps. Only a shortened IP address is kept, and form input is redacted in the visitor's browser before anything is sent. An e-mail address is stored only if your website passes one to identify(). See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
Analytics events are deleted by a daily clean-up once they are 30 days old, visit records 90 days after the visit was last active, and page copies and screenshots within 30 days of being captured.
Yes. Add each site under Websites in your dashboard. Every website has its own tracking script and separate analytics, and each organisation keeps its websites apart from your other organisations.
Heatmap colors represent click intensity: Red = High activity (hotspots where users click most), Orange/Yellow = Medium activity, Green/Blue = Low activity (dead zones). The intensity scales automatically based on your data, so you can quickly identify the most and least engaged areas of your page.
Time Machine captures daily snapshots of your website's UI and overlays historical heatmap data. This lets you travel back in time to see exactly how users interacted with previous versions of your page. Perfect for A/B testing analysis and tracking the impact of design changes.
To remove a website, go to Dashboard → Websites and click Remove next to it. This permanently deletes its heatmap and analytics data, events and snapshots, and cannot be undone. To delete your whole account, open Account Settings and use the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page.
